How does your custom home process work?
We follow an 11-phase process that starts with a get-to-know-you conversation and ends with your walkthrough and key presentation. Plans, engineering, allowances, and pricing are all settled before construction starts, so there are no surprises mid-build. The full process is laid out on our Process page.
How long does it take to build a custom home?
It depends on the size and complexity of the home and the site. Plan on several months of design, engineering, and selections before construction begins, and roughly a year from breaking ground to move-in for most homes. We set a realistic schedule with you before the building contract is signed.
How much does a custom home cost?
Every home is priced individually. Early in the process we discuss your budget, then design to it; once preliminary plans and allowances are set, we compile detailed pricing and present it before you sign a building contract. You will know the numbers before committing to build.
Do you help with financing?
Yes. We explore financing options with you early in the process and work alongside your lender through the construction loan, including providing the plans and documents the bank needs.
Can you build on my lot?
In most cases, yes. Hill Country properties come with slopes, rock, wells, and septic considerations, and evaluating the site is one of our first steps: we review the building site and complete a survey before plans are finalized.
How many homes do you build each year?
Only a few, on purpose. Keeping our volume low is what lets Alan personally oversee every project from the first design conversation to the final walkthrough.
Who will I actually work with?
Alan Ganley, the owner, from start to finish. There is no hand-off to a rotating cast of project managers; the person who plans your home is the same person who builds it.
